Steven J. Read

President

Steven J. Read is President of Global Coal Sales. Since graduating from Kansas State University, Read has worked in the coal industry for over 30 years, both domestically and internationally.

During that time he has had a broad range of responsibilities including sales, trading, purchasing and transportation/logistics with major coal producers and power utilities.

Read has been heavily involved with the export of U.S. Coal, primarily to Asia from the Pacific Northwest since 2009, focused on building reliability and developing long-term relationships with our end-use customers. He currently oversees all coal sales, marketing and logistics activities for Global Coal Sales.

Hiroki ‘Ozzie’ Ozono

Director/Sales & Marketing

Hiroki ‘Ozzie’ Ozono is the Director of Sales and Marketing for Global Coal Sales based in Tokyo, Japan.

Following graduation from Kobe University in March 2011, Ozono joined Mitsubishi Corporation working in the coal division in Tokyo. He began working with Global Coal Sales as an intern, based in the U.S. in 2013, where he learned all aspects of our business from production to final delivery. He officially joined our team in January of 2015.

Ozono’s primary focus is sales and marketing of Signal Peak Coal into the Japanese market. He also assists in customer development and sales with other important markets in Asia.
